Success Tips That Helps

Everybody has different definition of success,

How do you define success? Is it wealth? Is it happiness? Webster’s dictionary has three definitions.

  1. The fact of getting or achieving wealth respect or fame.
  2. The correct or desired result of an attempt.
  3. Someone or something that is successful: a person or thing that succeeds.

For me success is to be able to set challenges and overcome them. To be able to reach out to my dreams. To make myself and people around me better. To build awesome products and projects with people I enjoy spending time with.

I spent long hours reading books and articles about success. These are the points that have brought me where I am. Hope they will help you too!

1-I don’t complain. If there is a problem I always see it as a challenge to demonstrate myself that I can beat that obstacle. I treat life like one long education, where I can learn more every day.

2-I don’t give up. I have built a resistance to failure by failing a lot which has made me stronger.

3- I keep myself “smartly” busy. Wasting time is one of worst habits to develop on the road to success.

4- I overcome fear. Fearlessness is like a muscle — the more she exercised it, the stronger it became .I am also scared as you to start something new that I am not comfortable with but I do it.

5- I track metrics and make a lot of lists. I have defined KPI of what I consider success and I try to hit those metrics. I have days I perform worse than others but I accept it instead of getting mad at myself and try again the next day.

6-I take care of my energy. I take care very seriously where do I invest my energy. For example going to school for a class that I don’t enjoy feels like loosing energy. I try to keep a balanced life with some 5/6h of sleep and eat well. I do not always do things for a purpose but also try to enjoy the little pleasure of life.

7- I prioritize tasks. I define what my priorities are for the day. I make a list of my priorities and plan my day so I always finish at least one important task. The tasks of the day must be outlined with the most important and urgent ones on top.

8-I Reflect daily. I think at night time or in the morning how was my day. What happened?What did I do wrong? How can I learn from it and do it differently next time. Do whatever it takes to keep pushing yourself forward. Know where your comfort is and do not settle too long in there.

9-I do what I love. You only have one life. Do what you love. If you don’t believe in what you’re working on, it’s going to be pretty difficult to succeed and you will be one of these robots that just wait for the weekends to come.

10- I choose who I spend time with. Quality time is more important than quantity. My best friends are all over the world and I hardly see them monthly but there are the people I really care about. Surround yourself with people who you resonate with. Not that easy since it requires saying no to people who want a piece of you. Be the one choosing the people who surround yourself. Be active about it.

Some of these tips are harder to do than you might imagine but I suggest you to do a little bit everyday. Routine in habits is the key. Start today I promise tomorrow you’ll feel great and you’ll be closer to the best version of yourself!🙂
